Helo lads, anyone going to the Ace Cafe on Sunday if so where which way are you going i will be going from Northampton if anyone interested in meeting up to ride down to theCafe.

Next year for me on that John, shame it clashes with the DGR this year but it looks a fantastic setup there. If I was a single man, I would be hanging out there quite a bit. Just back from the Norton BBQ, bloody good cheesburgers, no beer which was a shame but probably very sensible. Aching a bit now, 3.5hrs in the saddle and stiff neck from the chillier night ride on the way back. Sampling some Naked Grouse just now, blend of malts, very nice

I've got the same problem mate still think i am 21 i suffer from Arthritis in my legs had most of my right leg below the knee replaced last year. Two weeks ago i dropped the Commando on my drive my left leg just went lucky there were a lot of my mates at my house as i could not lift the bike. There was little damage to the bike had it repaired but leg is playing up again so don't think i will make the Ace Cafe this Sunday don't think i will ride it again until next summer. A mates lad rides the John Player as i find it painful to ride but bought in new so will never part with it. Heres to next year

I'm still mulling over the trip to the Ace Cafe. If I go it will be straight down the A1 with a break at the Baldock Services to re-fuel the bike and a brunch for me. It's then a 37mile hop down to the Ace from there. It will be a new experience 'cos I haven't had to endure mile after mile at 70+ yet :)

Let us know your fuel mileage when you do it. That's the type of riding I do so we can compare.

Well recovered from the other night mark and have a great ride to the ACE chaps. Surely a stop over, you cannot make it back to Lincoln and be functional the next day?

Endure? surely you meant to say Enjoy.. I sit there at 5k rpm enjoying the exhaust note and thinking about tea and bacon butties mostly.

I am surprised Mx hasn't mentioned his new anti-vibration socks yet. On the ride home from the factory the other night, i noticed the vibration from the foot pegs for the first time. I think its probably quite good for circulation so I wont be buying any of his wonder socks.

WFRU - why pay monthly fees to a health club to stand on a vibrating plate to lose weight when you have the perfect vehicle available?

Endure / enjoy can be used in same sentence when describing what it's like to ride a 961 CR!

Yes, Dickies builders socks £4.95 for two pairs from Aldi - footpeg vibration busters!

Tony, even our 'Great North Road' doesn't compare to your freeways. My trip down the A1 was a mixture of 80+ mph for 30 miles, long 60mph sections, 50mph sections (with speed cameras) and a 40mph section where bridges were being constructed. I have some fuel figures for you.... 86.1 miles 6.48litre = 60.4 imperial mpg / 50.3 USGal mpg. My fill up after running into North London with heavy congestion and lots of filtering / slipping clutch was 81.6 miles 6.74 litre = 55 imperial mpg / 45.8 USGal mpg
