It isn’t really a ‘ride’ it’s more of a constant stop-start with re grouping stops and all distances inbetween covered at little more than walking pace.

I've not done one yet so I didn't know it was a bit slow.
 
I did one a couple of years back, they are slow in places - I think there is a recognition that everyone is NOT wearing protective gear (helmet and glove excepted) so pace is adjusted accordingly.
 
So just to be sure we’re all singing from the same hymn sheet ,it’s next Sunday now, week tomorrow SUNDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER 2018 at the Ace Cafe, say mid morning onwards , I’ve pm a few fellas on ere & texted a few via mobile( cell phones ) numbers I’ve got ,I’ve put another mention on NOC site , but never really get a lot back from the site , it’s a 59 club & BSA bash as well there next week to , & look out for the SPEED CAMERA s in that area
 
Nothing, I’ve not heard from them since it was collected, just being realistic , I hope they will look at it next week.
They’ve booked work, building new bikes etc and my bike arrives. So logic says it won’t be at the front of the queue. Might be lucky and they work on it tomorrow and doesn’t require major surgery and it’s ready for return. Just hope they do work on it and it’s not anything major.

A word from experience.... when my bike went back for repair I did not get a response from email so don’t rely on that and waiting to be contacted is frustrating at best.....Ring them and speak to Alison Cotterill or Rob - Clem is now in another part of the factory focussed on sales!

What kinda polish do you boys use on these tanks? I’ve tried two types so far and it’s a bitch of a job and I keep leaving a streaky residue behind.

I am not enirely sure myself on the overall look, I mean the tank is a thing of beauty but so is your bike in all black. I think it would look better on a lighter colour bike, possibly like mine. I am not angling as I cannot afford it. Is it still on or have you gone back to black. Once you tried black etc etc
 
I’m back to black WR and the tank is now in the ownership of someone with a MUCH lighter colour than black.
I’m sure we’ll hear from him when he’s done some design work.
I think I now probably hold the world record for shortest ownership time of a 961 alloy tank...!
 
To be honest your black bike looks the bees-knees and was almost my 1st choice in colour. I was going to suggest that the alloy tank looks out of place but it is really up to each individual, but now you are back to black it's a good choice :)
 
ACE CAFE minus 2 ( days ) to go , & we are all good to go, I gotta 1000 Fazer shadowing me for my 180 mile round trip, who is Norton curious ,arrival mid morning & I mentioned b4 I got a spare access norton t shirt up for grabs & r & g front fork protector things( only for the sport ) ,so bring some cash on hip & cross my palm with silver( a bit anyway ,well quite a bit .so it’s this SUNDAY 30TH SEPTEMBER.
 
Keep it , and Paint it . Too late now you sold it. Remember it's for the long term future. I will be going through the same excercise later this year or early next year .

You mean this diamond example of the Dom , yes I did take a vid but file too large or too loud more likely for me to upload file,will have a play with that later,so in the mean time here is Rob from Essex #13 DOM , one of 50 in UK & Rob you will pleased to know is a motorcyclist rather than a biker if yer no what I mean ,he’s clocked up 3,500 miles in 3 years ,a 1st timer at one of our cosy “ accessnorton meets” & as yet has not partaked yet ,hope to see more of him & that incredibly noisy bike of his soon .
