For anyone who has the f*cking nerve to tell me that we need to pay tax for water have a read:

At first I thought this was funny....Then I realised the awful truth of it. Be sure to read all the way to the end! Think bin charges need to be added in too;

Tax his land, Tax his bed, Tax the table At which he's fed.

Tax his work, Tax his pay, He works for peanuts Anyway!

Tax his cow, Tax his goat, Tax his pants, Tax his coat.

Tax his tobacco, Tax his drink, Tax him if he tries to think.

Tax his car, Tax his gas, Find other ways To tax his ass.

Tax all he has Then let him know That you won't be done Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers; then tax him some more Tax him till He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax the sod in Which he's laid.

When he's gone, Do not relax, It's time to apply The inheritance tax.

Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago, & our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world... We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middle class,a huge manufacturing base, and Mum stayed home to raise the kids.

What in the Hell happened? Could it be the lying parasitic politicians wasting our money?

Oh, and don't forget the relatively new bank charges....

And we all know what we think of Bankers.

"It is appointed unto man, ONCE to die".

It is appointed unto WORKING man ONCE A YEAR to pay taxes.

Im no fan of guvmint nor taxation for sure but you do have to consider that only a tiny minority of the population could survive in a genuine
market economy or rather live in it and not rebel.
Free stuff is hard to beat.

I don't mind paying taxes, especially if they come from a good income, but it's what the politicos use it for that chaps my ass. We have spent billions on other countries in wars and imperialistic adventures, but whenever someone suggests we spend the money here on our own people, the righties scream socialism. How about some billions for roads, infrastructure, a clean environment and healthcare? We've wasted enough money in the Middle East to do all these things several times over. Not to mention the wasted lives of soldiers.

Well we got to pay for their mistakes some how, plus to pay for their high income and supa, we all got to work longer to get our pensions or supa, but a politicions can get his when he gets kicked out and most have never done a honest days work in their lives and sending our boys overseas to fight someone elses war, no wonder we are in such a mess, but the worst thing about it we let them get away with it.

No one really likes paying tax but most see the need for it to support the social infrastructure - schools, police, fire, NHS etc..
The problem is that we don’t see it being used to support this infrastructure - take road tax in the UK - there are 32.9 million people licensed to drive with 30.9 million cars registered ( not including commercial vehicles). With an average of £100 per vehicle we have 3 billion pounds paid in roadtax and yet the roads are in the worst state for over 70 years (RAC data) - pot holes so deep they are bloody dangerous for motorcyclists in some places which reduces speed significantly.
Even where roads are repaired, the overbanding between new and old tarmac is dangerously slick in the wet...

Edit: just checked the OBR - 6 billion is collected in vehicle excise duty (tax) each year.

What about the Lottery? Tax on fools!

Politicians love the lottery tax! They keep most of what is spent on lottery tickets ..... and the little that they pay out is spent by the winners on beer, cigarettes, and more lottery tickets ..... The first two of which are highly taxed ..... thus they get to keep nearly all of it!

I don't mind paying tax as long as everybody gets taxed fairly. Some people can afford tax accountants to minimise the tax they pay, others cannot. In Australia we have shares which have franking credits. Wealthy retirees who have franked shares, receive a tax rebate even when they have paid no tax. The money for the rebates comes from people who are earning and paying tax. Our government is about to change and they are claiming the opposition is going to tax wealthy retirees. All that is intended is that wealthy retirees will stop getting tax rebates when they have paid no tax.

Over here, we just gave a mountain of tax money to corporations, ostensibly to promote business, new facility construction, research and development and jobs. They mostly stuck it in their pockets by using it to buy back their publicly-traded stock, increasing the value of the shares they already own. And not an effing thing was produced in he process. Our President promised his rich friends he was going to make them a lot richer and he did-at taxpayers expense.

I pay £ 500 to tax my Range Rover wife has a Mini and three bikes roads are shit but feel great that we are donating millions to overseas development when the B B C wants to stop free T V licensor's for O A Ps not got a problem paying taxes as i get a good living from the U K but charity begins at home

I only object to paying tax in Australia, because there are so many ways that wealthy people can avoid paying their fair share, yet their schools are taxpayer subsidised.
