Hi everyone just wondering anyone road a sport an a cafe? what did you think of them on British b roads prefer the usd's an clip ons or the conventional an bars :) know its subjective but just interesting

Cheers,

Tom

I used to own a Sport and have ridden my friends SE (with USD but nornal bars) but not for enough distance to really notice any difference. What I will say though is if you are about my weight around 12.5 stone you may find the suspension a bit on the firm side for our 3rd world roads we are now forced to ride on, I did hear of someone else who felt it was too firm and had Harris performance modify the suspension, I spoke to Harris and apparently they changed the rear springs for lower rate ones and revalved the the front forks. That was on a 2011 bike so things may be different now.

Hi mate yep big help I'm half a stone heavier so will probably have to do the same thing be interesting if there is an incremental list flying about of changes to the 961 over the years :)

Hi, noticed you're in Manchester, do you ride north Wales at all? I ride the Beddgelert,Llanberis,Ogwen and Capel Curig A and B roads regular on my 961 sport. Never ridden a 961 Cafe or the USD forks but can't see how they can be much better than the standard given the amount of fun the sport gives me! The 961 sport is totally in it's element on these roads, the suspension is on the hard side given my 12.5stone and adjustment is on my "to do" list but the odd kick back in the pants hasn't made me get round to it yet.
