I'm in a position to get my motor back together, but I still need to throw a fairly obscene amount of cash at the bike in order to get a rolling chassis together by Christmas.
I'm thinking the Landsdowne fork mod with progressive springs, and Ikon shocks (got them on the Duke - fantastic!).

So I've got a couple of questions...

1. does this suspension setup sound right? I'm no racer, but I appreciate good roadholding.

2. how do I get my wife bought into the idea of chucking money at the bike at this time of year?

Please help!

That sounds like a very good idea. As I was also thinking about fitting a set of Ikons, fitting the Lansdowne fork kit made my Commando's Hagon shocks feel slightly inadequate.

A belated thanks for the replies, guys

I must have done something right as a cash injection has just occurred!

So the next question is where to buy the Ikon shocks in the UK... anyone?

I got mines from SRM in Wales , bought 2 sets and secured a good discount so ask your pals if anyone else is thinking about a set! Transformed the back BTW. Suspension that actually works!

Gino,

Thanks for the info, its appreciated.

So any takers?
Please PM me if a bulk discount is of interest!
