850 MK111 Mufflers

Hi.
Just got my 75 850 back on the road after 10 years of sitting. Second owner, pretty much all original, except k&n air filter.
my question.. need new mufflers... I've for some reason preffered the look of the original black cap silencers, but am aware of the performance limitations as opposed to hi end reverse cone options.

After finding this website tonite and reading through all the posts, I would love some input.
It is obvious there is so much knowledge and experience here.

Do i keep the black cap silencer look, or do i switch to the reverse cones?

Would love all thoughts.

I have heard that RGM makes/sells visual replicas of black caps that are quite free flow. No experience my self but suggest you look into it as an option to retain the look without the back pressure.

Not exactly stock, but I've had these Dunstalls on since 1977:



I love the look and sound and chrome is amazing, still looks like new.
