I have just finished the complete restoration of a 1971 bike that I bought as a scrapper earlier this year.
The front and rear mudguards, tail light and seat are obviously non standard, The front mudguard is from a Harley Sportster suitable for 19 or 21 inch wheels $35 on E-bay, simply had to trim and redrill the mounting bracket. The tail light is similarly often for sale on e-bay and I filed some rounded slots to accommodate the rear loop. I wanted the bike to flow from front to back without any aesthetic obstructions and I think the Corbin really enhances this. The colour combination is inspired (stolen if the truth be known) by a Commando poster I have seen and an Excelsior Manxman. I have used 'The Unnaproachable Norton' stickers that come up quite frequently on E-bay and subsequent to this photo I have put slightly smaller decals with a more classic font on the side panels.
It has a 4S cam and sleeved master-cylinder but is otherwise pretty standard. I just need to take it for a government test and then thrash it until I'm happy!
