Hello folks
Finally we managed to test a std 750 Norton engine on the dyno. No special stuff - everything as it left the factory including carbs and exhaust. The thing gives between 52 and 62 Nm over 3000 to 5500. After that it tapers of slightly. Peak hp was 52,5 at 6500. At 7000 we had only 40 Nm left, at 6700 it was still at 48Nm - was a bit too lean.
The new engine is almost ready. The new left crankcase half is cast and will be machined next week. Finally we got the new oilpump together - looks like swiss cheese - many bores and holes in it but it incorporates an anti wetsump valve and oil pressure valve in the body.
Will take pics and put them on my homepage in the next few days.
