71 or 72 Norton Frame

I recently bought 2 frames. A 1970 WITH title, frame was sandblasted and painted in primer, appears to be in perfect condition. I got the frame, suspension, lots of odd parts, 2 engines, a whole pallet of stuff for $750. Then I found a 1975 frame, all original paint w/ a few chips and no engine cradle and NO title for $125. That's information for whats it worth as far as pricing. Can't help you on the differences. One thing I would certainly look for is a valid title. Saves a lot of grief and hassles.

That frame on eBay is a '71. The side stand lug is inboard of the lower frame rail, in '72 it was moved outside the rail.

Avoid the '71 frame. The side stand mount is weak it and will fall off. There is a weld on upgrade. The steering yokes had 2 versions, one which had poor high speed stability. Never fit 850 yokes to a 750 frame.
