been gone a while..found a survivor ..69 (i think) commando been under a guy's basement stairs for 13 years ..bent frame ..missing carb's and other bits.. not going to be a rat or restoration ,,something in between .. posting this just to keep my ass in gear ...good morning .

An engine number or gearbox or headstock plate number would put it in the ball park if we knew it.

number on the motor ,,0M3/ 127542 .. I have not learned how to find the info this will give us..so thanks for your help... tank and tail piece have a round spot for the emblems...that was on the early bike wasn't it ?

20M3/127542 would be mid-1968. That number is within the frame recall series (126125 - 128634).

I have a frame from a basket case project that It is looking like I might not ever get around to working on, so might be able to work something out. only problem is that I'm half a world away from it at the moment.

Hey hey kenjh, I meant that I'm half a world away from the frame at the moment. The frame is at my house in Houston, but I'm over in Japan at the moment, so if your not in a hurry...the next time I'm there I could let you know

Well,.....a pedal bike at the moment However, I finally got picked up for a job on the U.S. Navy base that we live close to. So now my visa will change and I will be able to register my '75 Mklll, get my license, etc... etc... etc...
