Does anyone know of an onilne resource for the parts book for pre '70 models?

Currently struggling to understand the differences/similarities between the early distributor engine and the Domi/Atlas engine, especially with respect to the timing gear & cam setup.

http://www.eurooldtimers.com/eng/manual ... 1970-.html

Not many pictures, especially of the S and Roadster type, just the original fastback. Gets real confusing between the models.

I don't know much about the Domi/Atlas, but it appears that some parts interchange, some of the instructions in the early Workshop Manual include pictures of the Atlas, IE. the AAU.

Big difference for most is the 69/70 S and Roadster oil tank/battery carrier/air filter carrier.

There's an early Workshop Manual online somewhere too, if you want it, I'll see if I can find it.

My list has 131257 Mar 69 as the first S with Camshaft points. As far as I know all the S models had the camshaft points. The list also has 133668 Sept 69 as the first Fastback with cam points. So apparently they made the early fastback (the original Commando) with chain driven points well into the S model production.

Mine is 132031 Apr 69.

What I'd like to know is who has 126125, the first Norton Commando Production machine, undoubtedly a 'fastback'.

Are we talking 750 atlas- to commando, or are we talking 500-650, if 750 oil pump drive [3-6 start] and shim behind idler gear i.e deleted for 20m3s.

Dave- My "S" [131955] has the points in under the carbs. It was shipped from the factory to Halifax, Nova Scotia on May 8,1969.

Mine is #123671 and the build date(probably 67 because it is listed with G15's,etc.) is unknown but the export date is 9/19/68 according the Owners Club. They did say that #123667 was built in 1967 and imported to the USA on 8/14/68 and sold to a Byron Black.

My list shows 123364 Aug 67 as a P11. P11A started with 124372 Jan 68.

It's just an unconfirmed list I found years ago, probably from the Roy Bacon book.
