Anything can be modified to work. You don't want to go too heavy.

67 a65 fork or complete front end conversion upgrade stuff

Re: 67 a65 fork or complete front end conversion upgrade stu

turns out there is a ton of info out there but alota blah blah to sift thru..not to mention tricky stuff to consider within the brit part options of that period

as i understand it, 67 sls front brake was the last year of an all bsa front, 68 was 1 year only using some triumph bits and going to a tlsb, then 69-70 was a triumph setup, and the forks all look very similar from the outside,

then 71 on, the oif (oil in frame) stuff came up with the updated forks and disc brake options, throw trident/rocket3 scenarios as well as the 500 daytonas continuing to use the old, not to mention diff variations of that on diff sized engines and bike weights......

looks like a quick painless solution is getting these bearings
http://www.lowbrowcustoms.com/p318/buy/ ... -your-bsa/
then you have the harley world of front end options and prob there's other 1" stem stuff out there?
Only from Lowbrow Customs, this tapered roller bearing conversion kit allows you to directly mount a Harley Davidson or Springer front end to your BSA A7, A10, B33, B31, Gold Star, A50 or A65 motorcycle up to 1970. This fits up to 1970 BSAs, when they went to the Oil In Frame version in 1971 the neck changed and this kit won't work. Kit includes two bearing races with machined shims and two Koyo bearings (Japanese made, high quality). This kit will allow you to mount any front end with a 1" stem, including front ends from:

Harley Davidson Big Twins 1949 and newer
Sportsters 1982 and newer
DNA Springers or other Springers with 1" stems

Simply use a drift and hammer to drive out the old bearing races from your frame's neck, and tap these new races into place. That is it, simple!

looks like these folks have the bearings custom made? didn't find any other supplier out there

The triple tree for a disc brake T150 is a direct swap for this application. The stem is already modified to allow it to be fit to a pre-oil-in-frame bike. It is used with a 97-4145 top bearing adaptor.
