Having owned a 961 from 2015 I found a few little things to make it better suited to me and put a bigger smile on mi mush. First thing the slight popping and banging on the over run, I used to get it on my 2015 Sport and to be honest found it a bit annoying after a few years of blatting around . On looking at the joint were the silencers join the pipe there were signs of exhaust leaking and no matter how hard you tightened the clamp all you finished up doing was mis shaping the silencer or chances of snapping the bolt, so off they came and got sealed with ( I forget the name of the stuff ) and no more popping or farting on the over run .
Secondly was the absolutely lethal foot rests that sometimes stayed upright and should you be wearing waterproof gear that wasn't as tucked in as boots and leathers could end up with you being very very very embarrassed in front of a crowd of bikers. I found this out first hand when picking up my 15 Sport from Mr Garner having travelled about three yards from the office. Remove the spring and ball bearing.. Ta Da .:)
When I picked up my new 23 Sport the other month the first things to do were exactly the same as I did eight years ago. I assume that sealing the zorsts won't get rid of all the noise on the over run but it's getting done anyway. As for the footrests the same mod now ensures that gravity and a little engine rumble ( For the last f*ckin time this bike does NOT VIBRATE ) if you think it does and frightens you, go and buy yourself an electric moped . IT RUMBLES . Well rant over, and here are a few pics of what I mean.

Hi Peebee , How does the primary and the mechanical engine noise in general sound ? I hope quieter . If you get a chance and talk to Norton , can you find out about the back angled foot pegs ? What do we need to order to make ours work like that ? I was thinking it was just the alignment slot cut in that washer that stops the peg from rotating .

Popping and Farting on the overun = music

Agree on the footpegs, I have often foundmyself scrabbling around trying to get the right one back down whilst on a ride
