Will a 3.50 front fit on the front end of a P11 and anyone have a photo of what it looks like?

It seems most of the desert racers of the era used a larger than stock (3.25) front tire.

Would you say this one has a 3.50 or 3.25 front tire?

That bike might have a 21" front tire and rim...looking at the gap on the front fender. Not sure? maybe it is the angle of the Picture.
I am set up for 3.25 19" front 54T K67 HEIDENAU and 4.00 18" 64T K67 HEIDENAU made in Germany. 60/40 road trail. Probably better for the trail than the road. http://static.webshopapp.com/shops/0321 ... t-45-p.jpg If I set it up for just the road I would probably go for the AVON RoadRiders. I am not a traditionalist in this tire choice department and prefer good traction to proper looks.
Cheers,
Thomas

The Heidenau look to have a good tread for offroad but the front look a little short to me.

Most of the period desert bikes ran really tall front tires.

My '68 still has a period 4.00 in the both the front and back (old Metzeler knobbies which are NLA).
