Hi all,

here is the 2011 Commando calendar. To download please click on the following link 2011 pdf.

Print it off double-sided in landscape format on a colour printer using quality paper, staple along the top edge and punch a hole in the middle of the bottom and voila! Your very own calendar showing the greatest motorcycle ever made. You will also find at the back some dates of interest for those keen on bike racing.

Thankyou to Hobot for giving permission for me to make homage to his long-standing relationship with Ms Peel and to all those who contributed the excellent photographs.

If you have a single-sided printer, you can run this off in two passes, printing every second page each time. I will also prepare a single-page per month version in the next couple of days, just wanted to get this one out before the New Year.

If there are any objections whatsoever to the content provided, or any unintentional violation of copyright in any manner, please notify me and I will immediately remove the document from public download.

Have a great and safe New Year everyone. Keep restoring and riding and don't stop posting up the great pics. If everyone's happy I'll do it again next year!

VERY NICE!

You should have included a shot (pun intended) of Hobot "modifying" his exhaust...

THank You for doing the calendar. I'm going to print it out and hang it in the work room above the Commando.

Well done Dave,
I was wondering if you could swap the Qatar GP in March with the Phillip Island GP in October please. October is crap at the Island, and it rains all the time. (Qatar doesn't have that problem)
Maybe you could organise the GP and the Superbikes for following weekends ?

Thanks
graeme

Thanks Dave, I think, as can't open google pdf, so can't see what I may be defending on my quip you selected.

No I do not eat what I shoot! This critter was hanging down in a lane and no issue to just swing around, as on comming would do regardless if I was right there too on a bike, so the road t'wert big enough for the two of us - I won this one. Savage SS Pump trench gun with 00 hi brass buck.

I aimed a car grill at mother, she leaked away, snagged this slow one instead, knocked it over but not hurt. I showed wife, while she's ooohing & ahhhing I'm thinking "Choke it before it Grows!"

Thanks. Downloaded last night (single sided) onto card stock and used spray adhesive to laminate the photos and day/date pages together. I knew I saved that 3-hole paper punch for something! Used 3 spare ornament hooks forced into circular submission to hang the pages together. Looks store-bought!

Thanks for this Dave, I'm very pleased to make the cut two years in a row, I will hang this in my workshop.
Warmest Regards
Dave M

Thank you, Davamb, very nicely done.

Wow Tom, its a double taker to me, both in the striking Commandos and backgrounds, yum, also my excess obsession as if Ms Peel is the funnest real fantasy I've got going. Your calender is proof I'm not the only one with Commando brain rot seeking no cure just another fix! I hope some day to have a view worth sharing too.

Re: 2011 Calendar

Hi Dave,
Well done for a great looking calendar.
It must have taken you a while to collect the photos & lay this up.
I did the NOC Calendar this year along with a few other people & know how much work goes into it.
We had all types of Nortons but only limited space for commandos. Ive had my Commando for nearly 38 years now & would not part with it. Ive had some great rides out on it in 2010 with the Yorkshire branch of NOC & enjoyed them all.
Keep up the good work.
Cheers Don

Thanks for all your responses guys.

Would love to Graeme, if only it was that easy!

I think we live in a world that's rapidly becoming too sanitised, too precious and too PC Hobot. Without passion in our lives we are not truly alive. You don't need to push the envelope to explore the possibilities. Take a chance, ride your bike and speak your mind. I read what you have to say and admire your obsession Hobot. As I say at the back of the calendar - may it always be so.

Keep maintaining, restoring and riding the bikes and taking the great pics and I'll keep doing the calendar. Have a great year everyone!
