2 into 1 exhaust

My pipes are pretty rough, I can buy some thermal tape and wrap them as a stop gap, but I was also looking at 2 into 1 exhausts.

These guys in Michigan have a set for about 1/2 of what Oldbrits set sells for, anybody have experience with them?

I just prefer the look of 2 into 1. My concern is that almost everything on the bike is going to look new, except the pipes.....

RGM sells a 2 into 1 for 170 Pounds plus shipping. Look nice, but you lose the centerstand.

Good idea in theory Tim but I live in Namibia so picking up the phone and giving Bob a call is a bit of an issue, does Bob have Email?

I had a beautiful S and S, 2 into one exhaust thousands of yummy beers ago and although it looked wonderful sweeping up the right side into a trumpet I quickly longed for separation of each exhaust note. The only reason I ran out to buy it was because a police officer told me the bike was too LOUD ( running hot dogs= love that exh.note!) and he gave me some blue slip saying 48 hrs.to show up at the station and show a changeover. So I did and another officer filed it under B.S. at the counter and didn't even want to come outside to see the beautiful new shiny thing thai I had spent all my cash on. There ya go. Peter

I love the look of a 2-1 exhaust but as Torontonian says you miss that beautiful stereo exhaust note that makes the Norton so sexy.

They can also be a bit of fun to tune, Don't ask how I know. LOL.

The ole hot rodder way of determining where to join headers was to draw a crayon mark down their length, start up and rev to desired range and shut down and note where the crayon melted most. Then diddle best compromise if stuff in the way.

DIY on Peel here form two factory headers so center stand can fit if wanted too.
