its all stock and never been messed with

Close, except for single Mikuni, Dunstall replica mufflers, missing fork lock, and a very curious backwards striping job on the sidecovers!

All in all a very complete bike and a great deal for the current bid. However, after sitting 20 years, I'd want to open up the gearbox, primary, and pull the head just to see what damage those years have done.

If I had any room left to store it, I'd be interested.

great validation to the one I bought this summer that sat for 20+ years and only had 4100 miles on it. Gave 3500. Put 700 in it and it's totally ready to ride. All stock, 100%, pipes, original great paint, etc. Just replaced all rubber and clutch. I however did not touch the gear box. It all works perfectly. As I'm in the middle of a Guzzi restore right now I likely won't mess with it if it's working great. But maybe down the road I'll check into it.

A bit off topic, but what Guzzi are you working on? I have always wanted an MKI LeMans.

That's exactly what it is, a 77 Mk1 Lemans. They are a wonderful bike. The Norton is faster but there is just something about that Goose. Will be spraying primer on all the bits this weekend and hopefully laying down the black early next week, followed by the red. Already soda blasted the motor and it's all ready. The wheels are out getting straightened. the PO hopped a curb and put a slight flat spot on both rims. It actually has the special close ratio racing tranny which I guess is very rare. Bike had 27k miles on it when I got it. no real oil leaks, great compression. Just needed full brake rebuild and carb work along with tuneup.

My Norton was a Colorado bike, absolutely great shape for 20 years in a barn. just covered with a ton of dust and bird shit. It all polished up real good. Absolutely everything is original. Even the exhaust and it's so quiet.
