1972 crankcases

Hi All.
What need the two OILWAY PLUG SCREW 5/16" (part-no: 06.2638) both on the timing side case, one on the right side and the second under the oil pump.

Sorry, I don't understand what it is you are asking.

You already seem to know where the oilway plugs are located so do you mean why are they there or, what is their purpose?

Or something else?

Edit: All crankcases (as far as I'm aware) have the oilway plug in the area below the oil pump.

yes, "what is their purpose" of the two plugs.

They are called 'plugs' as they block the ends of drilled holes to stop the oil escaping.
