I keep finding on my SS parts that I've never seen before on other Commando.
The filter plate  has two slots on the right side that I don't know what they're for.
But also the battery tray has a bracket with a hole that matches a hole on the filter plate.
Ciao
Piero

Piero,

You have a back air filter plate (060815) for a 1968-70 Commando while a 1971 (SS) takes P/N 061694. The tabs are to mount the ignition condenser pack, particularly on the 20M3 models (rear mounted breakers). I'm not sure if the "S" and '70 Roadster (20M3S) used 060815, but certainly the 1971 models should have replaced it with 061694, which does not have those tabs.

Hi.
The bike is entirely stock, never molested.
The back filter plate comes from factory.
My 1968/69 Fastback have both the rear points ignition but the condensers are not in one pack (like 1971 on) but fixed on the coils clamps.
In any case, the two holes of my back plate filter are not in line with the condenser pack that is shorter.
Ciao
Piero
