Nope thats the standard fastback tank..the extended range tank did not have the cutouts for the "ears" of the seat.
Wilcox will make a 5 gallon fastback tank to fit this seat out of metal for you....one of the things I plan to do to my fastback one day.

BTW, beautiful FB. The fastback has to be one of the all time top 10 most gorgeous production bikes. I never get tired of looking at a Fastback....well, any Commando really.

Looks very good . take it easy getting it all settled in and youll get the best out of it . Dont want to give it to dramatic a SHOCK . The creature has SOUl , you know .

Beauty bike Macca!

Don't suppose you, or anyone else, know what type of points cover that is? Or where I could get one?

ok thanks for that info i will file that about the steel tank

Thanks Mate,

Ya, I've been tempted to get one but it's just not right. I'm looking for the older cast style with deeper fins.
I thought I was on to one from a forum member but when it arrived it turned out to be a Triumph/BSA item.

"Macca", you must be in Australia?

Not a problem riding with new bikes! Last time I went out for a ride with a Hinckley Bonnie was a few months ago. We stopped in Lobethal and when we got up to go again, only the modern Brit wouldn't start, something wrong with the starter switch. I kicked mine over on the 1st try while the Hinckley struggled for about 10 minutes.
