Hi All.
The bikes has 5000 km done without problems, with engine/gearbox/clutch completely rebuilt.
In the last trip i have heard a strident noise from gearbox (or clutch??) only in the third shift that went away if you pulled the clutch lever.
What i must check?.
Greetings from Italy.
Piero

Gearbox and clutch need looking over, check oil levels first then open up if not low.

If it was mine, initial focus would be on the clutch nut on the mainshaft followed by the nut on the other end of the mainshaft - if pulling the clutch in changes things it may indicate the clutch is ready to fall off.

if it only does it in 3rd gear with the clutch engaged than i would be looking inside the gearbox at the 3rd gear pair.

In the last trip i have heard a strident noise from gearbox (or clutch??) only in the third shift that went away if you pulled the clutch lever.

teeth coming off the gears is a known issue along with the tooth face deteriorating.

The question is if is dangerous to ride with this noise and i can wayt the winter to eliminate it!!!

I wouldn't wait. It's most likely not going to cure itself.
