Hello Everybody,
an interesting article about the Seeley Fath solo road racer built for 1967.
The Fath motor was a 500cc 80++ hp fuel injected inline crossplane four handbuilt in Fath's home workshop. Intially conceived as a sidecar motor.
Colin Seeley had the idea of building the Seeley Fath special at the 1967 TT. It was prepared very quickly and went out for the first time under John Blanchard at Brands Hatch in August.
Despite promising early results, including a fourth at the Ulster GP, Fath and Seeley had a major disagreement due to Fath having fitted a Rickman disc brake without consulting Seeley. That was the end of the partnership.
Fath went on to win the sidecar world championship in 1968.
Martin.
