1967 Atlas clutch

Hi.
Removed the chaincase outer cover to replace the primary chain with a new one.
I have started the bike without outer cover to see the new chain that turns well.
But, with the clutch lever pulled i can here from inside the clutch pack some rumors of bells.
No noises more when i leave the clutch lever.
Is it normal or what happens?

A multi plate clutch in the open air can certainly be noisy when the lever is pulled.

check that the clutch center does not move back and forth in relation to the drum, the shock absorber rubbers can dissapear over time
