Hi, could anyone tell me the correct length of the rear shock for a 1954 Model 7 Dominator please?

Mine are currently 12.9" but the drive chain rubs on the frame, the wheel seems to low.

An 11.9" shock solves the problem but I wanted to know if going to 11.9" was correct or if i had another problem. I've searched around but can't really see a straight answer. If anyone had a Model 7 and could tell me the shock length (usually measured between centre of mountings) that would great.

Thanks
Paul

Ask Alf Hagon, or look up the old Girling parts catalogue website for your model. hth.
BTW 11.9 was/is correct for Norton Slimline.

The original Shocks were Armstrong, I have just measured my Model 7 at 12 & 5/8"

Thanks very much for the replies. 12 5/8 will work, just, but 13 doesn't.
