Make sure your engine breather is not clogged ? Adding crankcase pressure to pop out gasket ? Are you leaking oil ? Can you post a picture of the problem ?

Yes leaking quite a bit of oil. From the rocker cover. Ended up being a torn gasket? One piece of gasket at very front left about 2 inches long broken away. Who knows why.. Vent seems ok. I'm off to find some paper to cut my own as can't seem to find who is stocking this part. cheers.

That's a good idea. Trace it out on the table , right on the gasket paper from the actual valve cover itself. I hope you can find the right thickness of gasket paper .

Hi,
Just thought I’d add my recent experience to the Cush Drive thread. Last week while I had the wheels off for new tyres I checked the Cush drives and sure enough they were well worn so I started tracking down new ones. Got onto the local Talon rep here in Aus, as per earlier reports here, John Titman Racing in Brisbane. They had the new type in stock so I ordered a set through a local bike shop. They turned up a couple of days later and I duly began to install them. Then it got a bit tricky. The drive rubber would fit in the hub fine and it would fit on the drive bolts fine but it won’t fit both. This must be due to the extra hardness of the newer type and not being able to compress it enough once the rubber is in the hub. I took them to a local polyurethane manufacturer and measured the hardness at 95 on the Shore A scale, the old ones measured about 80. A bit of collaboration with an engineer type mate and we decided the best way to go was to machine the heads of the drive bolts rather than try and machine the actual drive rubbers. These we turned down to 19.6mm which gave me a nice push fit, this meant removing approximately .9mm off the diameter of the head. This worked a treat, there’s plenty of body to the bolt head, and the rear is back together and feels great. Next step is to try and turn up some polyurethane rod for future changes, a 300mm long, 32mm diameter rod in Shore A 90 polyurethane costs about $25 AUD so would be much more economical as well, the ones from JTR were $18 AUD each.
Also just to add, the rubbers I changed were the second lot and were fitted at 5,750 kl at the first annual service, the bike now has 18,000 kl, so not too bad.

Bought mine, $180 for 10 bits of plastic is absolute robbery/theft, literally cents worth of plastic, your $25 for the Poly rod will be my future project. thanks for the info

40 US per set. Yes. Quite expensive. Way cheaper from the factory last time around. Needed them so, is what it is. Just hoping they aren't a bitch to put in. A mallet is ok. Trimming them all is a pain in the ass. I'm very impatient.

I would try just putting in one of them , leave the rest of the holes empty and see how hard it is to put in. Its not a big deal to use a Dremel tool with a sanding drum to take a little bit of the rubber ID off.

An email to Talon got a good response, should be able to help!

These new harder cush rubbers should last much longer . They may be worth the extra cost ?

Do you know what type of lubricant?

Thanks Tony. I bought some from Talon but there was nothing on the packaging about lubricant.

Anyone have info/part numbers for the inline oil filter between the oil reservoir and the oil pump intake.??

My Bike does not have this but I'm having oil blowing through to the airbox and that was not in the kit added to my Bike.

There are lots online but its the flow rate that I need to make sure is correct.

Yes a screen filter, despite having 7 official norton services I never had one put on at all , I know they started putting them on with the euro 4 bikes as standard , first time I saw them was at the anniversary launch in late 2017 , second picture was at the SoHo Norton clothing shop

I think Bluey knows this . He is trying to find one or least he wants to know if he is getting the right one. What this does is stop any debris from oil tank jamming open the one way valve in the oil pump. What you need is a micron rating and flow rate . I will try and find something.

This should work : It works for HD and that's what Norton 961 needs a coarse screen and magnet. Dare I say this is better than what Norton Used !

Exactly right Tony, micron and flow rating. Thank you much appreciated !!

Once fitted it's another possible leak source to be checked, the "hand tight" advice gave me a weep, oil and tears, solved with a careful nip with the grips.
