1982 T140es Bings

I helping a friend with his Triumph 1982 Triumph T140es with the dreaded bing carbs on it. It was the first and last year they tried the bing carbs.
Do you guys know if theres good replacement carbs to replace the bings with? I'd like to replace them with a set of Amal MK2's but i seem to be having a problem finding some

Burlen are showing new 30mm MK2s in stock, pricey though.

IIRC the inlet stubs on the cylinder heads for Bing carbs are slightly shorter than those on the heads equipped for Mk2 carbs. Don't know how much that will affect tuning / running?

Hi, I have a 1982 750 es in my garage at the moment, the owner mentioned work done on the carbs, I'm seeing him this morning, I will ask what was done, it is very low original miles 2178 cheers
