Hello everyone,

I'm currently building a Featherbed race bike and plan to install a TTI gearbox and Steve Maney's belt drive kit.

My question is: would it be problematic not to install the SPACER - CLUTCH LOCATION (part-no: 06.0747) on the back of the clutch basket?
When trying to align the belt, installing the spacer would push the basket significantly outward. Unfortunately, the gearbox itself doesn't have any clearance to move it left or right.

Mick Hemmings did a centre for Commando clutches on a non commando mainshaft with a hardened washer on the outer end, so it bolted up like a Manx/Dommi clutch

I'm pretty sure I still have one that I never used, although RGM also have some if you can get through to them

That way, you don't need the spacer behind the clutch
