Ash is in hospital

Hi mÿ friends, the pyso team got me out of bed for the first time this morning and everything worked out great, got me in a roller chair with a toilet pan and wheeled me in the bathroom to use a normal toilet, such a thing using a proper toilet and first workout, you don't how good that felt.
Got onto my insurance this morning and they be getting the Thruxton to there place to decide what way they are going with it, but i think a full payout be the way as it will be sometime before i be back on the road, but the Norton will never leave me, gave my daughter first choice on the Thruxton but she declined, money in my pocket sounds better idea, more for the new hobby lol.
Well getting closer to the big day, hope they sharpen the chain saw cutters before th OP lol, well the nurses are coming to do there thing, so bye for now.

I do know how good it feels having been in the hospital many times. Just think how good it will feel to do it all by yourself - that will be coming soon I suspect.

Hopefully the Physical Therapist (PT) and Occupational Therapist (OT) are or will soon start visiting you daily. What they have you do can sometimes seem silly but in reality, will really hasten your recovery and will teach you ways to make things easier.

Greg all the team are already on the ball, 6weeks for the leg to heal then the fun starts, well its already started, the new foot will be molded as soon the leg heals and it be full on after the healing, i be on a fast ride to recovery and having a good attitude will be a good thing.

Cheers Ashley

Just had a call from Ash (@ashman ) who is in hospital after he and his wife were T-boned by a four-wheel-drive while out on his Thruxton in a 50km/hr zone.

He's a bit pissed off but otherwise is good spirits.
He told me he's going to lose his right foot, which he's resigned to.
Deb, his wife, is in a worse way with ribs/lung & leg injuries.

He can access the forum from his phone but is not up to posting from it (are any of us??)

Here's wishing him & Deb the best and fastest recovery!
Cheers
😔👍

How is Deb doing? Also - will the )(*&^%$#@ that hit you face any legal repercussions?
Ðebra is doing as good as she can with good surport from all medical team and staff we have a great hospital system here in my state of Queensland.
I feel so helpless in her recovery, she is up on the next floor from me under plastic sugery team but on the phone to each other and some of the nurses have worked with both of us same with the surgon/doctors.
I know it wasn't our fault but i feel so resposable for taking care of her while she is on my bike and feel i let her down but we just had a bad luck day of no fault of our own.
Foundout that a truck drive pull up when it happened and used one of his load tie down ratchet straps as a tornacay on Debra leg, his quick thinking stopped her from bleeding out before help arrived, i have so much to thank him for, stranges helping stranges in need and i hope to find him out and give him my thanks.
Deds sister has visited the person who contacted the emergincey services and when i get up and going again i want to personaly thank everyone who helped us.
Its good that there are somany who care instead of passing by so they don't get unvolve.
Well my big day (tomorrow) is getting closer and in away is not a good day for me but i just want to get it over with so the recovery can start, get home and loik after my wife is number one in my mind and eyes but we both will have great surport frim every one, replying here is helping me to a quick recovery and hope i don't put some off, but it helps me with weeks in hospital.
A big thanks to all my Norton friends and all my biker friends.

Well the big day is nearlly here one more sleep, everyone is so surprised in how relax i am but tomorrow is another day i have aceptèd my road to a quicker recovery.
Had a visit by the forensic crash unit officer today doing the investergation the driver of the car was a 52 year old woman she is so affected by the accident but she was at full fault and will be charged, the officer is a real good officer and a bike rider, he came to get my full medical report from the accident and the long term affect to both Debra and myself, but i told him i hold no gruge to her and accidents do happen, we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time as speed wasn't the cause.
Debra is doing a lot better today and had her first solid meal since her OP, chatting her head off as usual lol, all i want to do is get back home, getting so much help from mates, family and from strangers, we are so bless in my state of Queensland, everyone helps even from strangers.
They had me out of bed again today only for a ahort walk in a walker only full weight on my left leg but felt so good to just get up, no pain at all.
Well 8:30 pm TUESDAY night so about 10hrs to go so just thought i give you all a up date as tomorrow will be full on for me.
Thank to all my friends here love u all, motorcycle life is the best.

Good luck for tomorrow Ashley 🤞

Balls of steel Ash, your chainsaw joke.
Praying for good results.
No balls of steel, just the way us Aussies look at ourselves with a bit of humor thrown in, well with me anyway, trying to get some sleep but not working too much going through my head, laying in bed all day don't help, not worried about the day ahead, just can't fuc.ing sleep.
The day be startng early first or second off the rank so be about a 5am start for things to roll for prep work.

Lying there, especially at night when not much is going on just staring at the ceiling is one of the worst parts of being in the hospital for me. I don't hesitate to ask for something to help me sleep.
