Is there someplace that sells replacement parts for Smiths Magnetic Instruments? I have a speedo that works perfectly, but only the 1/10's dial on the odometer is working, won't index the next dial. I have always been curious about trying to repair these and I bought Graham Blighe's book - this one seems like a good first candidate...

Just need a source for parts. Decent cores are in demand for rebuild here and hard to come by, so I can't get a hold of any to part out.

Suggestions? TIA

The only bits I have ever seen on offer are the glass and the bezel.
...oh you do see the trip meter extensions but then only the late models
have them.

That and the screws/rubbers/washers that hold the workings to the case - but no other parts...

I have not taken mine apart yet - still on the bike, but would like to have parts on hand so that the repair can be made quickly with minimal down time.

There is a vintage Smiths rebuilder in Alberta I believe. Maybe he can let you know where to source parts for DIY?

Hi all. I am in need of a tachometer dial for Smiths RSM 3003/21 (that's the version with the NVT wiggly worm logo). Is someone reproducing them or keeping stocks?
Company Timeless Motorcycles doesn't provide them. Howard Instruments in AU makes new dials (pricy for a one-off). Someone has probably made them before?

Edit: Resolved. Smithswerk.com makes repro dials. I am still looking for a new dial for SSM 4003/01 (KPH).

Perfection exists here: https://vintagebritishcables.com/ I don't know of he'll sell parts, but he will restore instruments to new - I've had over 30 done. In Canada so no US tariff crap.
