More AN shipping woes?

I placed an order with Andover Norton on July 9th. I received shipping notification on July 11th but all the tracking information was left blank. The delivery note says being shipped UPS-ROW and they gave links to 4 other shippers but again, no number that might serve as a tracking number for any of them. 3 email to AN have gone unanswered so far. I might not be so worried but it took over a month for my last order from them due to the UK postal strike and my shipping address is a post office box. Last I knew UPS does not deliver to the post office. AN has by far the best website and ordering system of any vendor out there. I hope shipping doesn't become a major issue from here on out.

I suspect these companies have staffing issues ..along with the couriers....like many effected local/global industries we see daily.....I made a call to England the other day and spoke to a nice bloke from the above company.
I actually might start ordering by phone again...its very satisfying

Its understandable some orders from such suppliers can run in the thousand$ and without a tracking number ...you don't know if your Arthur or Martha

E mailed 3 times....The first might have not gone correctly. Time will tell.

I've never received tracking information from AN. Stuff comes to my front door, not a PO box. Sometimes it gets here quick, sometimes it drags on for 15 or more days.

I order early before starting on something. I really don't like waiting for parts when something is disassembled. I might forget where some of it goes if it lays around too long. Worse yet I might lose interest entirely. lol

I too had issues with identifying a tracking number for a recent order from AN but have just found one. The email from them advising despatch contained details and the penultimate email from AN advising despatch has an attachment which when opened, contains a Consignment number beginning LE on the bottom line.
When the full # was entered into the Royal Mail tracking page, hey presto, tracking details were displayed. Worked for me anyhow.

No consignment number, nothing on the document that even looks like a shipper number, just an order number an order reference number and a delivery note number. The delivery note number does not work as a tracking number, I tried it in all 4 links provided. The shipping document says they sent it UPS, in which case it will never make it to the post office box address they sent it to. I paid with Pay Pal, and if I do not hear from AN in the next few days I'll file a claim through pay pal and see if that gets their attention. As I said, 3 e mails and no acknowledgement of any of them. I spent over 30 years in the auto parts supply business and the one thing I learned above all others is never ignore a customers complaints no matter how trivial or unfounded. I really miss Old Britts out of Washington state. Good inventory, fast service and never any shipping issues.

Finally heard from AN this morning. They gave me a UPS tracking number which when followed says package was delivered last Thursday, July 13th. UPS never delivers to the post office. Now I get to fight with UPS and AN over where the hell are my parts. And my bike sits in pieces on the lift.

Why did you use a PO Box without confirming that it will be sent by mail? Have you checked with the PO - if tracking says delivered then it probably was delivered somewhere and it's possible that's the PO

AN never gives me a method of shipment till order is placed. They have always shipped to me via Royal mail and USPS. Check with PO, not there. Amazon and most other vendors I deal with will red flag an order if they know it won't ship to a PO Box. In that case I have it shipped to my work place.

On the PLUS SIDE! Parts found. Seems when the package hit the local UPS sorting facility they just picked someone with the same last name in the same town, slapped a label on the box and sent it on. UPS fessed up to the physical address they left it at and I went and asked for it. One of the benefits of small town living.

cant say if this is an attempt by UPS to be helpful or just looking to get rid of a package rather than deal with paperwork and handling.

Last time I got bits sent to me from over seas about a week later started getting scam emails saying my postage is here click on the link as I know all my bits get delivered to my door without opening any attachments, so many get fooled with these scams, first time I ordered from Joe Hunt went normal mail and took 9 days last time deicide to express postage and pay the extra and it took 15 days W T F, pay extra and takes longer.
