Got word that the AMCA Roadrunner chapter swap meet will be held on January 8th.
New location 10695 W. Pierce, 107th Ave south of I-10 at the MMI/UTI campus.
Not sure of any costs. Waiting for a reply from my inquirery.
I'm coming from Texas 1100 miles, one way. I'm nuts but I used to live there and have a lot of friends there.

Have fun.

I would like to live in Cave Creek, but the warden hates hot weather, and is not particularly fond of the desert. I lived in Scottsdale in my youth. Different times. Kinda fun times, since nobody was awake or offended by just about everything yet.

I lived in Phoenix starting back in the late 50's. Left the "Valley of the Sun" in 2010, my wife couldn't handle 10 months of summer.

Walking out of an air-conditioned or swamp cooled home into the Pheonix sun last time I was there was oppressive. Feels like weight pushing down.

When I was a kid, it never mattered much. Too busy getting into mischief of one kind or another to notice the heat.

Dust storms, sheet lightening, flash floods in the desert... it's all coming back to me now.

Found their flier on line. It says the vendor spaces are $20 ea, free to everyone else.
Hope to see you there.

I live in Tucson but lived in Glendale from 90-98. There used to be a great annual vintage bike show and swap meet at Club Rio near ASU. Sponsored by a group called SAVME (southern Az vintage motorcycle enthusiasts?) Anyone remember more about that?

That was a great show near ASU. That show moved or changed into something else when that building got torn down 20 years ago. I think it became the show that was in north Phoenix at a bar off of Bell Rd? Now this AMCA show might be the new version of that.

The AACME ( Arizona Antique and Classic Motorcycle Enthusiasts) show was at Club Rio in Tempe, I was a member. The land where Club Rin was located was purchased by a devleoper.
SAVME was a club located in Tucson, I used to go to their shows too.
I now live in Texas but plan on going and visiting with old friends.

I plan on taking some Norton, AJS/Matchless parts along with some other bits.
I have Dunstall pipes that came with a bike I acquired. Time to clean out the shed.

I also plan on making it down to Phoenix if the weather permits. Have a few items to sell, Norton, Buell, Triumph (modern) 2005. Also looking for a new project maybe? LOL, Maybe I should leave the wife at home.
