It’s not courtesy of Allen Millyard and is sure to upset a few owners. Pre-unit triple

It doesn’t upset me as a purist. Just as a pragmatist!

Why do it?

All he’s achieved is inserting serval new weak points and potential failure modes into the system !

Yeah
But it's cool !

It seems that this is what happens when you have fevered brain, a box of parts, a rolling chassis and maybe a T150 engine with a busted case from a broken chain sitting around.

We have the tecnology , We can rebuild it !

Notta badatall , Eh .

Evin the Britten had a japshit gearbox ! . Good use for a Triple with split gear cases , likely .
A Kiwi Home Built was a H D big motor , reversed , Kwacker Z shitbox Trans , Belt drive ( on Right )
and locally built Space Frame ' SOLO ' ish , with brakes & forks and things from top line rice burners .

Looks like a good ' Road rocket ' to me , there .

Yep I've seen that bike
It was the slickshift chrome cover that caught my eye first of all
Not all of the chrome cover boxes were SS, were they? I had a '61 with the chrome cover and no SS bits...

No not all of them
I believe the pre-unit bonnie for example never had one
Still with the same cover
Lots of people used to cut the roller off the end of the gearchange actuator as it slows down the gearchange a little

It's also my understanding that it's very easy to pull SS bits from a transmission and replace them into a non-SS box...

I'd guess so
I didn't mind the slickshift on my old iron head thunderbird chop

The SS got my buddy Howard "Shotgun" Winchester's bike banned from winning every time with the old "left hand in the air" starting line routine, and got the SS banned from AMA racing. They DO work.
