It's also my understanding that it's very easy to pull SS bits from a transmission and replace them into a non-SS box...No not all of them
I believe the pre-unit bonnie for example never had one

Lots of people used to cut the roller off the end of the gearchange actuator as it slows down the gearchange a little

The SS got my buddy Howard "Shotgun" Winchester's bike banned from winning every time with the old "left hand in the air" starting line routine, and got the SS banned from AMA racing. They DO work.I'd guess so
