Walking dogs..

Yep, I second that. And while we are about it, include hedgehogs, horses, foxes, badgers and any other four legged mammals I've missed.
Missed the point there, Bernhard. Mother nature's wild creatures doing what comes naturally, I can put up with..
Somebody else's pet... different story.

No, I don't think I have missed your point entirely, walked up my garden path one day and a neighbours cat came walking towards me and just shit on the top of my lawn.
Whether they are other peoples pet or not, for some god forsaken reason my garden is the local toilet facility, and I just wish I could shoot them, problem solved.

There's a fine line between pets and pest....... and it sits atop my garden fence :)

Cats in entering our garden isn’t a problem at all... Ripper and Jaws like cats... they just can’t eat a whole one...

I suspect many of you have homes infested with canine companions... Each morning I take my little female mix for some 'sploring' around the neighborhood. Sadie covers ground pretty fast sniffing and squirting select areas with great discretion and care... Only the choicest spots receive her special attentions..... Returning home to 2nd shift I pick up Krackers... Mama's male chihuahua mix?.... Full run non-stop piss flying on everything, except for one which he must be forced to leave... I mean dragging by the leash literally. He is for lack of better terms a connoisseur of fresh and aged odouriferous pigments found in his line of march.... Not an eater of such, but a devout sniffer savouring every offering of what he finds to be an intriguing fragrant bouquet. He could spend the morning attending to a single discovery.
This is what retirement has brought me down to.... How the mighty have fallen... Even the bikes have been refusing my offerings of repair attention. Now you've wasted five minutes.
Thanks for sharing that. For 61 yrs and 10 months of my 62 years of existence I have been side by side with a dog. The 2 mths without, I felt empty. Dogs are and always will be, along with my family, the most important thing in my life.

The Seattle Zoo used to sell Big Cat Scat. They claimed that putting it on the corners of your property solved that problem.

I've heard of the cat crap one, but personally I don't think it would work as I tried s anti cat bottle smell, one old cat must have lost it's sense of smell, it just ignored it.
The dog solution is also out, they would have to guard the front and back garden 24/7, can't see that happening, besides, they come with their own toilet problems, which means I'll have to cleant THEIR mess up, as well as costing me a small fortune in dog food, vets etc.

Chico, of the Chinese crested breed.

I must have the only 2 dogs (2 cattle dogs, mother and daughter) that don't do poo's while going for walks, we go for 4 to 5 km each time, they just like doing it in their own yard for some unknown reason and of course some of the most stupid places they do it, I always carry bags but have never had the need to use them.
I've had black Labs and Lab mixes for the last 35 years, 2 males and 2 females. All have had the free run of our land so the only walks we ever went on were for exploring not crap time. I have never figured out why, but with both females you never found a trace of where they took a dump, it was always out in the woods somewhere. The males however never seem to get more than a dozen steps away from the door before letting loose with a pile that would do a bison proud and then look at me like I'm the @sshole when I go out to shovel it up. Who trained who I wonder?

My dogs are outside dogs so 24/7 protection from everything, never have any problems with cats, no one comes in my yard without me knowing and they know friends from strangers and have different ways of letting me know who is there, my red cattle dog never barks, but she has her ways to let me know someone is there, but my blue cattle dog does the barking when someone is there, but other times they are very quiet and don't upset the neighbor hood from access barking and the good thing about female dogs they never roam from home, my old male cattle dogs never had any problems jumping the high fences to go wondering, some times for days at a time.

Ashley, do they wag tail when they hear or see a Norton?

When I fire up any bikes my blue dog attacts the exhaust pipe, so bad she puts her mouth right over the end of the muffler, they hate me going out, but when I return home no problems at all lol and when I roll down the side of the house on my bike my red dog sneaks out from under the house and nips my heels as I go past, so am always ready for her, but sometimes she gets me, lucky for the boots, but she never does it when I come home, aussie cattle dogs are so loyal to their owners, they also know all my mate's bikes sounds and get all excited when the hear them coming or pulling up outside, but most of the time they are passing by, they even know my Harley mate's sound over other Harley riders.
When I wake up in the morning they hear me walking around and are always at the back door waiting for me and when I open the back door they are so happy to see me, although they live outside they do get spoiled, get good food and special treats in the morning and at tea time, I have had cattle dogs all my life and are so protective of their owners and kids.
My house is never locked up windows are always open 24/7 and very rarely lock the doors, my shed is more sercure than my house.

With a very heavy heart today we said goodbye to our dear Hannah after a terrible accident. She spent all of her 13 years on our farm, save the first two months and the last half hour.

She was hugely loved and will be terribly missed by all of us, including her daughter.

Rest peacefully, dear friend.
