If you were spending the money would you sleeve or purchase new premier Amals? Ball park price for sleeve job Thanks

I sent my carb bodies to Andy Hardan at Lund Machine Co., a source I found on this site.
They do good work. Mr. Hardan told me he was surprised at how much "slop" there was between the body walls and the new slides I had installed.
I'll post results when I put some time on them but this is what a sleeve job looks like.

This has been a long time, but if I did it again, I'd buy the premiers straight off and forget the old carbs, unless you're into originality. But my originals with the sleeves work fine. The difference in price at least when I did it was not great. And that included totally rebuilding the carbs. I did try the anodized slides, but it did nothing for the original carbs. Ended up selling them so didn't loose much.

What were the results of that? I have a pair of carbs with about 6000 miles on them and I'm considering getting anodized ones.

I had completely rebuilt the jets and all I could on my original carbs and they still would not hold a good idle. The anodized slides maybe helped a tiny bit, but not significantly. Sent the carbs to Lund's for resleve and now they're great. But I probably spent as much as just buying a new set of premiers. Which is better, don't know.

I think if the bores have not worn much then anodized slides should help keep thing from getting worse. But they will not fix a worn bore. Got to fit them before the wear occurs.

Your link is the same I used.
I went round and round trying to attain some consistent performance and kept hitting the "inconsistent wall".
Sleeving was my last resort and then i was going to buy a new set but I also wanted the same carbs original to the bike.
After Mr Hardan performed the sleeve job there was no comparison, they were finally "breathing" properly. I was very happy with the results/performance.
