I sent my carb bodies to Andy Hardan at Lund Machine Co., a source I found on this site.
They do good work. Mr. Hardan told me he was surprised at how much "slop" there was between the body walls and the new slides I had installed.
I'll post results when I put some time on them but this is what a sleeve job looks like.

Looks like you've got the Premier type anodized slides. Look similar, identical to the Wassell pair I have. Sent them plus the originals to Mr. Chessel in Ontario to have my carbs resleeved. He selected the originals over the Wassells to sleeve.

Have not yet tried them as bike is in winter project state for a while.

According to the Lund site Peavey posted, he originally used 1020 DOM tube for the sleeves. That's a low carbon, mild steel, not stainless. But that would be magnetic, so maybe they changed to a stainless alloy later?

Interesting that Bruce Chessel uses brass, Lund uses something else.
My 650 ss came with the brass slides done by Bruce Chessel quite a long time ago now.
They are working well and there is no noticeable wear at this point, not terribly high mileage though.
Probably almost any metal for the slide is a better choice than the original arrangement!

Lund uses stainless. The slide and body being same material is problematic, causing the excessive wear.

Bruce did 1 set for me, Lund did 2 (or was it 3?)

All are still working fine more than 10 years later.

<-----that were bored and sleeved by Lund a few years ago. One sleeve had a bit of a hangnail at the throttle stop, but a little filing cured it.

I had my originals sleeved by Lund after completely rebuilding them and trying the anodized slides, which mostly did nothing. The Lund rebuilt slides did the job, but I sort of wonder if a new set of Premiers wouldn't have been better. I still get some seeking from time to time, meaning I have to adjust them for best idle sometimes. Ended up spending about the same as a new set of Premiers, if not more.

Just got my Monoblocs back from Bruce. Great work.

I went with Bruce because I liked brass over other metals that could be used. Brass has a certain "lubricity" that I favored. Perhaps I am making more of it than it deserves, as I do not have the long term experience as some of the others above.

All I know at this point, the carbs still on my desk and not on the Atlas, is the slides glide with ease.
