original tach faces - ??? - Norton script?

(74 Mk2) do original tach faces have the "Norton" logo or script, just below the center dial? I sent my instruments out for cleaning and calibration, and just noticed on one of my pics that my tach does not have the logo. if so, i'm guessing at some point in time, my original was swapped out.

that's one question I have had also. In the past I thought the gauges with a Norton script were replacement parts but lately I am thinking that might be wrong.

The UK made Smiths say Smiths.
Veglia (French?) gauges say Norton.

Yours is correct.

Here is a Veglia dial:

And here is what´s inside a Veglia speedo:

All plastic and nothing to adjust!

Here you can see the difference in the housings. Veglia housings are about 20mm deeper.

MK3 Veglia gauges do not have "Norton" on them

Must have been in 71. My 70 Commando still has the solid green blobs. We restored a 71 SS with lines across the globes.
