So America NOT first?

FEMA official stating US gov't has not discouraged US manufacturers from exporting desperately needed PPE to other countries.
 
The same FEMA that allows states to bid against each other, driving up prices before swooping in and buying ALL the medical supplies at top dollar.

Wonder whose pocket is being lined with all those federal funds? Disgraceful incompetence at the cost of American lives. Shame on this administration.

Now there are moronic church pastors packing their churches under the guise of religious freedom. Even going so far as urging those attending to shake hands. One such pastor has already been arrested. I hope ANY SOB who promotes the spread of COVID-19 is charged with treason.

Many healthcare workers have already died treating CORONAVIRUS patients. The last thing needed is assholes like these preachers telling the gullible to pack in close to one another. What the fuck is wrong with the idiots that participate in such doings?

Donald Trump gives himself a 10/10 rating. Failure.
 
We have a totally inept president. This crisis has made that readily apparent. Trump is completely without direction. Rudderless. Vacillating from one extreme to another, almost daily. His main purpose seems to be denigrating those who do not worship at the altar of Trump. Who ever even considered a six time bankrupt real estate developer and reality TV show host would be capable of leading the country?

Yes, the agencies are typical bureaucrats who have taken billions for decades but failed - no stockpiles, late responses, institutional incompetence.

The intelligence community in particular - they knew nothing? Why didn’t the CIA get a vial of Chinese blood, smuggle it, out and get a DNA sequence in December?

Now they say “the Chinese lied” wtf? The CIA reads the same stuff we all see on Facebook and Twitter?
What about their spies, their satellites, their NSA wire taps?
Trillions over decades and a possible bio-weapon in play and nothing?

“Intelligence community?” No incompetence community!

As for Trump, yeah he could have fired the heads if CDC, NIH, and FDA - all were FUBAR - but then what? It’s the boss who still needs the employer who screwed up big time, keep him to fix it? Or fire him, piss off the lieutenants, elevate one of em? Impossible situation.

Same goes for China, ya want to call em out, make em pay! But shoot! We still need those crooked liars.
 
if nothing else comes of this mess it should be a lesson on NOT to rely on a country like china for critical needs. this has been coming for a long time with both sides of the isle guilty of allowing this sh$$$t to happen.

It’s not the government to blame for China dominating our markets. It’s not company execs to blame.It’s theAmerican consumer. If you want to blame a politician blame Nixon. He’s the one who opened our markets to the Chinese. And the American consumers couldn’t buy it fast enough. Had Americans refused to buy Chinese crap there wouldn’t be any here today. Companies that were once American stalwarts, Briggs & Stratton comes to mind, would still make ALL their products in the US of A. This country hardly makes a shoe anymore. Damn near every American is wearing a shoe made in China. Why? Because the Chinese made shoe is cheaper. Send American jobs to China to save fifty bucks. Brilliant!
