Trump is more worried about the economy than COVID 19. I’ve got news for the Orange One. If this virus is not conquered there won’t be enough consumers left in the United States to support an economy the size of Wyoming’s economy.

Dead people don't vote. I already heard on another forum from a (fortunately) recovering infectee that it's "all bullshit and hype" because it didn't kill him and he's among the vulnerable elder population. Even Faux Noize has backed off their earlier "no big deal" position that they took right after they revised their "hoax" position. Some believers got left in the dust.
 
Donald Trump, Boris Johnston and Scott Morrison are all Conservative politicians presiding over what might be a global catastrophe.

In the UK we are supposedly in lockdown!
Work from home unless you absolutely have to go to work, unfortunately I have to go to work because I am in construction and construction is considered essential work
We are told we must work 2m apart!! What a complete and utter moronic joke that is!
These people have no Idea!!
This morning there were 4 blokes working within a 2m square
I decided by mid day that I'd had enough!!!!
If one person in our yard gets the virus we will all get it
So I bailed out as I have chronic bronchitis and I'm really not sure if I could take it
I should be able to claim statutory sick pay
I don't have a mortgage any more so should be ok
But the other bloke's can't afford time off they have young families/mortgage/rent
A lot of them work on the sites and have no choice but to go in by tube
Our safety officer has told them to keep 2 meters from other people if possible
Not to hold on whilst on the train!
Not to touch their face whilst on the tube
And if possible wash your hands as soon as you get off the tube!!
What a joke
 
My Son an auto-tech will be officially laid off Wed. end of day , his wife is doing a Doctoral degree in something I can’t spell .... their 7 yr. old son (grandson to us) has to stay home ,as schools closed until? , the Mom can’t work at home ,study and look after boy , so Ian takes offered lay-off and apparently Feds got a program to fast track his pokey pay .... not sure how long this country can continue subsidies like that ...
 
Dems have had lots of dead folks showing up to vote in a large number of past elections.... they do keep voting. Have to hand it to them on that.

Fewer dead people voting than those who are eligible to vote but are denied by Republican voter restriction actions.

Somehow many eligible voters from predominantly Democratic precincts were stricken from the roles. George W. Bush won the state of Florida by less than 600 votes. The electoral votes of Florida put Bush in the White House.

When it comes to manipulating elections Republicans are far superior to Democrats.

And don't forget the millions of illegals claimed by Mr.T. as voting for Mrs. C....thus the popular vote loss he had.
 
The U K Health Secretary is to open up the Excel centre as a field hospital to take patients with coronavirus. Don't know where he is going to get ventilator equipment from and people to man it.

GM and Ford are currently building and shipping 40 billion very beautiful, very perfect ventilators to help out the failing UK socialist health system.

Strange thing JimC is that during O's first run I went to vote and found that I had been purged from the rolls here in Texas. Missed that one and had to register again. They said it was because I'd not voted in the past three presidential elections..... I had voted in all of them. It happens everywhere & everywho sometimes.... I wasn't pleased, but …..hold no grudges. You sometimes have to wait 4 more years to throw the dice again. Didn't like him and neither curse nor ridicule the man. He had his turn and is in the past.

That's great, but what GB needs also is coronavirus testing kits to check the spread of the virus. I don't know where I can get tested here. South Korea did a vigorous testing to find out who had the virus and put in lockdown anyone who came in contact with a positive result. Their numbers are going down because of their previous SAR experience in bringing it under control.
 
I live down southwest. It is not London. Population totally different. We can walk out from our house to the sea and up on the cliffs with plenty of space. The lockdown thing simply doesnt apply but if you dont do it you may get fined they say. But it is ok to go to the shop to get food. That is worse than going for a walk in town.
It is a case of politicians doing SOMETHING so if it all goes nuts they think they have clean hands.
Responsible people self quarantine and you wash your hands when you return from going out.
Over reaction because it is a one size fits all approach.
What really matters is the economy. A nation of paupers isnt going to save many lives.

I don’t understand why testing is the answer at all.

I do understand it’s value in long term data gathering and study into these things. But not in the ‘here and now’.

What happens when you’re tested? You wait 4 days for the results and they come back clear. Brilliant. All that tells you is that you did not have the virus 4 DAYS AGO! You might have it now, you might get it tomorrow, etc.

And if it comes back positive, what do you do then, how do you put people in lockdown when they’re already in lockdown !?

Bingo !

There are huge health and life expectancy issues related to societies wealth. And / or lack of.

And the lockdown itself will have huge impact on certain people, mental health, physical health, rise in alcoholism, domestic violence, abuse, etc, etc.

For every action there is a reaction. We gotta stay Balanced.

More ludicrious unproven rumors and stories from 100 years ago being nurtured by right-wing believers. The woman in Texas who voted illegally got more jail time than ANY of Trumps' crooked cronies. Cries of voter fraud are just more propaganda, so thanks for furthering the fantasy.
