My 850 MkII Feb 74 has early type swinging arm, no plugs, RH10 head, non baffled
airbox, black barrels, grid type seat cover. Seat foam thick but too soft.

My 73 has silver barrels from original, did any of the 74's have silver barrels ?
Mine doesnt have a RH10 head.
My race bike came as a 73 although does have a RH10 head.
Regards Mike
'73 had silver barrels while '74 had black barrels. It's been suggested '73 went back to previous silver barrels to show it wasn't a combat.

Interesting that the air filter is non baffled, are you the original owner ?Also re seat is the bike Roadster or Interstate .

My Aug 74 Roadster does not have a baffled airbox plate either. Original owner.

I believe that. I once brought my new 74 to a pub and some dude kept insisting that it was a combat.

Yes black barrel equals combat, it was marketed that way. Black barrel got a bad name. Yet for me the combat roadster is the Commando to have.
