Sad news, I knew Les through my Trident owning days and ended up doing some work for him building wise. A very nice, humble, true gentleman with quite a sense of humour too.



Yes, Les was a good bloke , I knew him through the tr3oc. Had many a conversation about triples with him, Jack Shemans and Arthur Jakeman. They were all an inspiration to me as a young lad 40 years ago and actually still are. RIP Les, you deserve it.

Do not be sad when somebody dies, it happens to all of us. What is important is how we are remembered. Les Williams obviously helped a lot of people by making their lives more enjoyable. That should be celebrated. One thing that I have done, is to upload as much video as I can about our motorcycling history, to Youtube. When we are gone, the kids of the following generations will know what we did. Our world is changing and we will not be alive to tell our stories.
