a chrome fairing version , unused, was on this morning, available from the owner.£55k approx.

That's what people do.
They see an opportunity to make money on the initial introduction of a new model.
It's inevitable.
Just like in 2008 when Ducati introduced the Desmosedici RR.
If you put your reserve down early - you got it for $67,000 when delivered in 2008.
Then the early ones got traded up online for ridiculous prices.
The same will probably happen to the V4 1200's.

It’s £65000!
Fair play to who ever owns it.
He took a massive gamble paying £44 up front and received his V4 after at least an 18 month wait. Sounds familiar !!'
After the recent news from Dominoes Hall, sorry Donington Hall, HMRC are now investigating what has happened to our, (only if you live in the UK and pay tax) yes our investment.

PS. On the back of the latest news. How many people who have placed a £5k deposit will now pay another £39k up front for their bike to be built...........?

All or most of them will. Especially if they see the bikes are good investments and well designed.

As it looks like he bought it just to make money (couldn't care less what he says on his advert)
I hope he can't sell it and he's left with something he doesn't want.
(unlikely I know !)

To some folks, it may be worth the 10 grand to not have to wait. It's just that way for people that have that kind of funds. 10 grand is a days pay for some.

Well, it’s not £10,000 more than the original price... it’s £20,000!

But on the other hand, it’s not about skipping the queue either, it’s an SS he’s selling, the Ltd edition version and they sold out a long time ago.

I guess he’s hoping that exclusivity will net him £££.

To put it into perspective though, you could have a new V4 SS’s a Superlight AND a 961 For this money ...

I hope he drives it and enjoys it ! That didn't take long to sell !

It doesn't seem fair. I once bought a DBD 32 Gold Star for £100 and sold it a couple of months later for £80 and felt I did well !!!. I'm guessing from the Ebay add photos, his "investments" are why he lives in a large house in the country. But on the plus side he'll go to his grave (in a solid gold coffin) having never enjoyed riding a real piece of enjoyment. On the other hand, I'll be hurtling backwards into Hades with the Bailiffs chasing me, and a Fekin big grin on my face.
