I just mounted a pair of Ikons and am quite impressed.
If you have stiction in your forks, it is usually cured by tying the lower for yoke down to the wheel with rope with everything slack and the forks compressed - then tightening the bolts and top caps on the yokes as well as tightening the axle nuts, while everything is still tied down. Then remove the rope and test the bike. Fork braces in particular can be culprits. Some have slotted holes in the joining piece. If you are doing the tie-down tighten the bolts in the fork brace last. I would not buy a fork brace which was not adjustable for width.
When you have the front end tied down, it sometimes helps if you flex the forks by twisting them a bit each way. On old bikes the clamping surfaces of the yokes can corrode making self-alignment difficult.
