Here is what you can make with those spent rivet stems;
grind a point on each end and bend them over into a U bend, use these for wire retaing on your garage/shed.

Bernhard .... you are first, thus far, in the running to win the two boxes of pop rivets I put up as a prize!

My use for them, should I ever use them, is to put in the aluminum recycle bin.

Sharpen one end well... pound other end flat .... you get a reusable tooth pick , to keep in your wallet

Sharpen one end to a nice point and glue cotton on the other end. Great blow gun darts. A nice educational tool to use on the sneaky neighbor cat to teach it the evils of its ways. Poop in my tool box and there are consequences.

Also, you can turn pin points each end and insert wheels for model railway coaches/wagons. Can also find use for axles on model cars/trailers. I have turned a couple down to make crank pins for model railway wheels.
I'm not planning to win as the cost of postage across the pond is worth more than the sum total of parts, I just want to know what I can recycle these spent rivets for!

Well Bernhard, the response to this challenge was underwhelming to say the least.

It seems we should close this down.

And the prize for the best suggestion goes to .....

..... your use as cable staples ..... naw! horseshoe staples are so cheap, it is not worth the time to bend them up.

..... my use as filler for the recycle bin .... naw! that is not really a use, is it?

..... to Craig for a tooth pick ...... naw! the one on my Swiss Army knife works better, besides, one would only ever need one such tooth pick, then all the rest of the stems would be thrown away!

...... to xbacksideslider for some non-specified use someday ..... well, maybe. Not really a use, but funny.

...... to Eljahara for his funny comment about English subtitles ..... naw! BTW, Eljahara, I can read English English very well, it is the sound of it that is foreign to me.

..... to eskasteve for use as blow gun darts ..... I almost declared the contest over after reading that one, but it is politically incorrect to limit their use on cats only. I think dogs who dump on his lawn or tip his trash barrels should have been given equal opportunity to benefit from his lessons.

..... to you, Bernhard, for the suggestion for use in model making. Well, maybe. I can see that as a very beneficial use, but it is limited to the world of model makers.

So! Who gets the prize? BTW, one of the boxes in my pop rivet inventory stash is so old, it can be considered vintage! Rare and valuable!

How about a vote? All those who responded in this thread have one vote.

My vote goes to eskasteve

If the darts would work on Deer in my garden , I would have to vote for Eskasteve ..... with an honourable mention going to my suggestion

Deer are edible .... put a coating of anectine on the darts.
