I finally have 6000 miles on my 961

Say what?
For the benefit of those that didn’t grow up in east London during the late Victorian era, strife rhymes with Wife , lids rhymes with kids, so Nigel is with his family ,the second word of the slang usually rhymes with what’s trying to be said, & just to confuse you the second word is often left off.

Wow!
Thanks, I never would have figured that one out on my own.
So right now Nigel’s probably cream crackered & having a butchers at LA, he & his ol China may even be a bit mutt & Jef from that Harley & yearning for some Rosie Lee & feeling a bit hank Marvin ,nuff said, looking forward to his pictures

As am I.
At least I'll be able to understand the photos.;)

BritTwit
Cream crackered =knackered = tired
Butchers is short for butchers hook = look
Ol china = China plate = mate
Mutt n Jeff = deaf
Rosie lee = tea
Hank Marvin = starving - as in hungry

Hopefully the pics will be enlightening

Nigel,
Did the ‘better half’ also ride with you? What about your younglings?
John
No way!
Due to total lack of interest!
Me and a china did the run.
Trouble and bins flew out to LA to rendezvous with me here.

Will write something up then
chaps, not here, I guess ‘Motorcycle related discussions’ is the right place.
And I’ll try and stick to English...

Thanks for the decryption key.
Gotta admit - the slang sometimes adds an entirely new dimension to the forum.

Oh damn!
Nigel I had this crazy image like in India, where the whole family was riding on the bike.
Wife on back, one kid on the tank, and another on the handlebars.
Just you on the bike - where's the fun in that.:p

Rode her out to her final resting place in Rockport MA. She'll stay here in my wife's garage until Spring.

Blimey,
Get some thermal base layers. I was in MA (Northampton, Amherst, Holyoke, Springfield) at the end of October in 2015 and went for a ride with a friend of my daughters - lovely autumn day, plenty of sun and the colours (colors) of the trees in fall...

Ha - I work in Williamstown MA. Do you visit Western MA often?

By the way, I haven't stopped riding. I just need to put more mileage on the older sister (my '75 Mk3) and the best way to do that is to put this one away ... far away.

Fair enough.
Next time I visit my daughter I will pm you - I usually visit for a few weeks so could easily fit a ride in.
