Hi, can anybody enlighten me to the significance of the last 3 numbers 068 on the carb' body, cheers, David

That number indicates that it is for a Norton model 50, 1957 to 1963.

Yes with proper jetting but would cross reference a couple of sources.
30 - pilot
3.5 - slide
210 - main
0.11 - needle jet

The last three digits (suffix number) is Amal's code for the internal configuration of the carburetor. This code specifies the main and pilot jet sizes, slide cut away, and needle taper that was originally fitted to the carb.
