50th anniversary Cafe Racer

I though the same, ie, the sprocket is normally polished on the CR. Mine is black tho, cos I specified black.

When I spec'd my CR last May I specifically asked for a chrome rear sprocket like the Domi instead of the normal black one although it wasn't offered as an option. I particularly noticed that the Anniversary seemed to have one as standard as I thought they had copied my bike...

Rumour is that I’ll have #50 Cafe Racer in my shed on Friday...

“Are we nearly there yet Dad...?”

Exciting stuff, you just couldn't hang on till march then. Pictures required remember

Gotta wait till March before I can ride it tho!

I’ll probaby test it a little on private roads before the though. Don’t worry, pics will follow!

How’s yours anyway? Has the cutting out been cured?

Keep buying bikes, Fellas. I'm enjoying all the activity on this forum. Makes my retired Winter mornings more interesting.

Sorted my battery lead out tonight so I could use my Ctek charger to top up the battery. Sold some furniture that is taking up too much space in the garage. With not much of a turning circle, I need that extra room. Moved the comfy chair over and cracked open a spanish rjoja and sat there close to zero degrees temperature and enjoyed the views. One in modern colour and one as if t were the old days

By the way fast eddie and manx, when you go for a spin, just have the ignition key on the key fob, don't have security device keys flapping about, the put minor scratches on the polished domiracer yoke

Tell me about the Goose? - In the words of Manuel "I know nothing"

Did I play the game they play in heaven? - Rugby, yes up until about 25

Very cryptic chaps.

Feeling like a small boy in a lolly shop I should imagine! Just remember pulling them apart is half the fun!

Mornin’ chaps.

Just nippin’ t’ factory t’ pick up my new bike!

Catchya later...!

Fair old trip Oxford to Derby, that will add a few running in miles, hope its nice and dry for you. Pictures and first impressions later we trust

Just checked the forecast for factory area , no rain about so not sure whether u towing the bike or concealed in a van ,but we want that pic Nigel ,

The need to carry loads of bits, plus the fact it’s not road legal until 1st March meant it was a van job to collect.

Spent 2 hours at the factory, was really impressed with the overal set up.
Got to see this years TT bikes being built too!

Anyway, here she is, sorry to the others on here, but here’s one in the RIGHT colour!

The eagle eyed may spot some abnormalities like the old style one piece front mudguard and lack of pinstripes on the seat unit. These were both requests of mine that the factory did for me.

I really like the way the seat unit looks sans stripes as whatever you do with stripes on the dual seat unit looks kinda odd to me.

Pics don’t do it justice, will take some better ones soon.

Oh yeah, I thought you were all being old women moaning about the lack of steering lock, but now I see what you mean !

Nigel,

Congrats.
Quite a beautiful black steed.

Why is it not road legal until March?
Does this have to do with insurance or MOT registry?

It’s the registration period, I wanted it registered on a 2018 plate and that’s not ‘official’ until March first, it’s just the way it’s done here.

I wanted an 18 plate as it’s an aniversary model and the aniversary is in ‘18.

It’s a bit nerdy and sad, but I got a plate for it yer see that reads:

MY 18
CDO

“My ‘18 Commando” gettit?

Verdict amongst my mates so far is split 50/50 between that being cool or pathetic !!

Looking good Nigel, my first Commando was black! Yeah that steering lock is going to be a learning curve at slow speed exits from junctions lol
