Yamaha given massive penalty in motogp

Yamaha have been given points penalty by FIM for breaking rules.

Only for the constructor and not the riders, how can that be right? the commentators were saying that there are no dimensional advantage and therefor they haven't benefited, but if the original valves would have caused engine failure then the advantage is from reliability, I think this is why Yamaha haven't appealed.

Also if the engines are sealed, why wasn't the broken seal picked up, did Yamaha try to hide the fact they had been in the engine?

MotoGP is not relevant to much in motorcycling. I don't watch it, because I cannot relate to it. Most of it is simply a high speed procession. I'm similar about F1 - I cannot imagine racing something which is so high tech than an average driver could not even get it to move.
I think the reason that V8 Supercars are so popular in Australia, is they look like the cars the young guys drive, so the kids can fantasize.

More problems for Yamaha and Vinales.

I have watched that video on Marquez - 'why is he so good'.. I agree that riding beyond the limit is the best way to learn how to race faster. But when you do it at those speeds, it is probably not so smart. Speed when you are racing is only relative. If you are 3 KPH faster than the other guys, that is often enough. But in MotoGP, the absolute speeds are extremely high, so a get-off is usually a big deal.
When I race, I am faster than many guys on modern bikes around the tight parts of Winton Raceway. I would not like to try and combine that with bullet speeds down the straights. Braking down from high speeds scares me.

You just hit the nail on the head on why you are not a world champion, you need to be a master of all aspects of racing to beat everyone else, or you end up as an also run. .
