hi all
on my 1972 roadster i have the larger type side panels in plastic that look the same as the 850 models

2 things really, are they the wrong ones or could you have either fitted, and where can i buy some of the smaller type in either steel or plastic>?

thanks
matt

Sounds like your Roadster was an Interstate at one point or at the begining, the Roadster ones are still available, readily in glass fibre less so in steel.

MATTT, RGM Motors and Norvil motorcycles advertise side panels although I don't know how good the quality is, otherwise it's bide your time and wait for some to come up on ebay or one of the big autojumbles like Stafford.

Alternatively, we do have a for sale and wanted section on the site.

Commando Specialties sell new ones in steel..They have them on their site as well as ebay..

If your Commando has the plastic airbox as fitted to the last 850 MK2/2A (I think) and MK3s, the left hand side panels have different fittings to earlier Commandos.

hi all
i did see the rgm ones listed but it says unfinished , im assuming that means painting and nothing else

the airbox is a metal one with a metal mesh around it

as far as im aware the bike was always a roadster, looking closely at the panles where they screw on at the top i can see some yellow paint underneath so im guessing they arnt original

i will put a wanted ad up then i think
