Wrecked Motor

Unless it exploded or you have heard it’s death rattle, you have mo idea what the engine needs without
pulling it apart and checking everything out. May be in much better shape than your mechanic thinks, but you don’t know until
you know.

Hi Joe, what is your skill level? Can you work on the bike at home? Tools available? I just finished a basket case Triumph and am currently building my old childhood bike (72 LR Fastback Commando) There is a lot of value in doing it yourself. Paying someone to put it together from scratch would be astronomical. Some multi brand shops will swap a motor gladly before going into it.
